Please join members of the Beverly Hills Jewish Community as we light the Chanukah Menorah, celebrating the 2,181st year of Chanukah!
“Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, is a special time for all of us,” said Rabbi Yossi Cunin. “The holiday gives the residents and Americans an opportunity to celebrate freedom in all of its forms. This virtue is represented in the Chanukah menorah, a symbol of peace, strength, and fortitude, and I am pleased to be joined by local dignitaries and city officials.”
"The annual tradition of lighting the menorah at the City Square of Beverly Hills has become the highlight of our Festival of Lights,” said Rabbi Yosef Cunin. “The story of Chanukah is about how we fought back against religious oppression in our own land, earned our freedom and thanked G-d for the miracles. This is what the U.S.A. stands for, a land of promise and liberty."
